The present invention relates to a transmission apparatus including a generating section configured to generate a reference signal using one of sequences which are grouped into a group, wherein a predefined number of sequences with sequence numbers r in ascending order of an absolute value of difference between rb/Nb and r/N are grouped into the group with a group number rb for a sequence length N which depends on a transmission bandwidth of the reference signal, wherein Nb is a reference sequence length; and a transmitting section configured to transmit the reference signal.
