The present invention relates to the synthesis of a polymeric fatliquor based on a glycol polymer + maleic anhydride previously reacted with a natural and/or synthetic fatty alcohol and/or a fatty ethoxylated alcohol and/or a fatty ethoxylated acid and/or a fatty ethoxylated amine + sulfitation. Moreover the invention relates to a method for obtaining such polymeric fatliquor, comprising the following steps: - Providing a glycol polymer - Combining the glycol polymer in a molar ratio 1:0.7 - 1.3, with a previously prepared combination of fatty alcohols, or a fatty ethoxylated alcohol, or a fatty ethoxylated carboxylic acid, or a fatty ethoxylated amine, or a fatty ethoxylated amine, with maleic anhydride diester in a molar ratio 1: 0.7-1.3, characterized in providing the combination at a temperature of 50 - 150 °C, for from 1 to 5 hours. |
