353,568. Rotary disc valves ; casings. HUBER, H., 61A, Laaerstrasse, Vienna. May 12, 1930, No. 14558. [Class 135.] In a rotary disc valve having its casing made in two parts divided on an oblique plane the disc 4, Fig. 2, is peripherally guided in one part 1 and contacts with an upstanding seating 3 on the other part 2 ; the detached rotary spindle 13, which makes a tight joint with the casing by means of the conical collar 12, is coupled to the valve disc 4 by an interengaging finger and slot, the coupling enclosing a spring 11, preferably a leaf spring. The two parts of the casing are secured together by a U-shaped member 9 which embraces one part and passes through apertured lugs in the other part; by altering the position of one part of the casing relatively to the other a normal through-way valve may be changed to an angle valve, as shown in dotted lines. An arrangement is shown in Fig. 4 in which a valve disc is partially balanced by means of a piston 14 formed therewith, the upper surface of which communicates with the space below the valve disc by duplicated passages 21, and passage 20 controlled by a small valve 22. |
