532,615. Door-operating appliances. STEVENS, A. H. (Crawford Door Co.). Sept. 12, 1939, No. 25657. [Class 65 (i)] A door 10 which swings upwards and slides backwards on tracks 15 is counterbalanced by a spring mounted in a winding drum 42 on the door, a cable 62 mounted on the drum passing down the inner face of the door, over a sheave and through a hole near the lower edge, and up the outer face to an anchorage on the door frame 14. The door is controlled in its movement by a pair of stays 23 pivoted at 24 to the sides of the frame and at other end to the lower part of the door. A spring bolt 63a engages a striker plate at the bottom of the frame to hold the door closed.
