The invention relates to a mold (1) for molding a hollow body (2) from a preform (4) of said a hollow body, said mold defining a molding cavity (16) having the shape of the a hollow body (2) to be molded and comprising a first part (18) and a second part (20), said parts (18, 20) being movable relative to each other between an opened configuration of the mold (1), wherein the preform (4) can be loaded inside the molding cavity (16), and a closed configuration of the mold (1), wherein the molding cavity (16) is formed, the mold (1) further comprising a locking element (40) arranged to maintain the mold (1) in its closed configuration in a locked position of the mold (1), characterized in that the locking element (40) comprises at least a sleeve portion (42), said sleeve portion (42) being arranged around a portion (34) of the first and second parts (18, 20) in the closed configuration such that said sleeve portion (42) surrounds said portion (34) of the first and second parts (18, 20) and prevents the mold (1) from moving towards its open configuration in the locked position of the mold (1). |
