PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber capable of improving riding quality by suppressing generation of hammering sound between a free piston and a housing.SOLUTION: A shock absorber D includes: an extension-side chamber R1 and a pressure-side chamber R2 disposed in a cylinder 1; a housing 6 configuring a pressure chamber C; a free piston 9 for dividing the inside of the pressure chamber C into an extension-side pressure chamber 7 communicated with the extension-side chamber R1 and a pressure-side pressure chamber 8 communicated with the pressure-side chamber R2; and a cushion 13 colliding with the free piston 9, and suppressing further displacement of the free piston 9 to a pressure-side pressure chamber 8 side. The cushion member 13 has the annular shape, and is stacked on a step portion 22c disposed on the housing 6. A cushion fixing piece 22d raised from an inner peripheral side of the step portion 22c is bent to a cushion member side to hold the cushion member 13 and to fix the same to the housing 6. |
