PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly determine whether a load circuit is connected, to suppress needless power loss, and to prevent failure of a power-supply device.SOLUTION: A voltage source circuit 13 has a predetermined internal resistance. The voltage source circuit 13 applies a voltage to output terminals to which a load circuit 21 is electrically connected. A voltage detection circuit 14 detects a voltage between the output terminals. A current source circuit 15 (a determination circuit) determines whether the load circuit 21 is connected to the output terminals. The current source circuit 15 determines that the load circuit 21 is not connected if the voltage detected by the voltage detection circuit 14 is larger than a predetermined threshold value. The current source circuit 15 operates to pass a predetermined current to the load circuit 21 if determining that the load circuit 21 is connected. |
