A start end of knitted fabric with stitches is arranged at respective sides of two needle beds in base. The tubular knitting is continuously performed twice times in a wale direction to follow lower and upper rows of stitches in wale direction of one side base portion. The one side upper row of stitches and the other side upper row of stitches are moved to side of fabric neck portion (9), and some stitches of upper row of stitches are overlapped with several loops of neck portion. The stitches in wale direction are set as front and rear stitches, if hose knitting is performed. An independent claim is included for a knitted fabric. |
