PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic agent for a thermoplastic resin with which a quick-acting antistatic property and an antifogging property can be imparted to the thermoplastic resin and excellent transparency and smoothness can be maintained for a long time, and to provide a thermoplastic resin composition including the antistatic agent.SOLUTION: An antistatic agent for a thermoplastic resin includes: a component (A) being a glycerin fatty acid ester and a component (B) being a (poly)glycerin fatty acid ester as essential components; and a component (C) being a polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester and/or a component (D) being an aliphatic amine ethylene oxide addition product, wherein a compounding proportion of the component (D) is 0 to 10 wt.% of the total amount of the component (A) to the component (D), and a ratio (OHv/Sv) of a hydroxy value (OHv) to a saponification value (Sv) of the antistatic agent is in the range of 1.5 to 1.8. |
