A bio absorbable suture 1 made of poly lactic acid (PLA) having a plurality of beads along its length, the beads also made of poly lactic acid. The beads are preferably a mix of cone shaped beads 2 and substantially spherical or ball shaped beads 3, the cone shaped beads arranged so that some face in each direction along the length of the suture. Preferably a pair of beads comprising one substantially spherical bead and one conical bead are positioned between knots 4 in the suture to limit the movement of the beads along the suture. The suture is suitable for use during cosmetic surgery procedures including face lifts. |
