Method of operating an aircraft, said aircraft comprising a device including a first hydraulic piston (206), a second hydraulic piston (202) disposed within the first hydraulic piston, and a third hydraulic piston (204) disposed within both the first hydraulic piston (206) and the second hydraulic piston (204). The first, second, and third hydraulic pistons are contained within a common outer wall (214). A manifold (122) is connected to the first (206), second (202), and third (204) hydraulic pistons. The manifold (122) is disposed relative to the first, second, and third hydraulic pistons such that a fluid moving in the manifold can control positions of the first (206), second (202), and third (204) hydraulic pistons. The method comprising controlling the positions of the first, second and third hydraulic pistons with fluid moving in the manifold (122). |
