PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a millable type silicone rubber compound having an increased degree of plasticity and a silicone rubber composition, which prevents crepe hardening of the millable type silicone rubber compound.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a silicone rubber compound includes heat treating a mixture of the following (A) to (D): (A) 100 mass parts of an organopolysiloxane having a degree of polymerization of 100 or more, represented by a formula RSiO(I), (Rrepresents a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and a represents a positive number of 1.95 to 2.05); (B) 5 to 100 mass parts of reinforceable silica having a specific surface area of 50 m/g or more by BET absorption; (C) 0.1 to 50 mass parts of organosilane and/or siloxane having silanol groups sealed at both terminals; and (D) 0.001 to 5 mass parts of a condensation reaction catalyst. |
