[Class 40 (v)] The aerial for a totally enclosed motor vehicle comprises a conductor 3 mounted above, running parallel to, and insulated from, the roof of the vehicle. The conductor may be held by insulating supports 2, one of which, 5, allows the conducting rod 4 to pass through to connect the aerial with the lead to the receiving set and the aerial may be exposed as in Fig. 2 or be covered by a non-screening roof as shewn in Fig. 5. Alternatively the conductor may comprise the ridge 3 of a roof 13 of insulating material. |
