535,315. Battery lamps. PLATERS & STAMPERS, Ltd. (Katzinger Co., E.). Nov. 1, 1939, No. 29177. [Classes 39 (ii) and 75 (iv)] In a battery lamp which includes an actuating member 9 for effecting relative movement between the bulb 4 and a translucent screen 17 whereby the colour of the light from the lamp may be changed a detent 22 engages notches 23, 24, 25 to position the member 9 in its several positions. The operating member 6 is slidably mounted, and operates the member 9 which at its offset portion 26 forms a contact engaging a fixed contact 27, a bracket 15 on the member 9 being attached to the screen 17 having a red portion 18 and a green porton 19. In the position shown the switch is opened and is closed by moving the member 6 to its position 6a the screen 17 in this position 17a remaining substantially clear of the bulb so that a clear light is emitted. Movement of the member 6 and therefore, the screen 17 to positions 6b and 17b, respectively, provides a green light and further movement gives a red light. The contact 27 is resiliently mounted. |
