PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a system where optical signals of a plurality of optical communication devices are transmitted in a time division multiplex manner, when any optical communication device causes a failure to output an optical signal with unexpected timing, communication of other optical communication devices is influenced.SOLUTION: In an optical communication system in which optical signals transmitted from a plurality of optical communication devices to a higher-level device in a time division multiplex manner, the optical communication device includes a transmission part for outputting optical signals to the higher-level device under a predetermined transmission condition and a control part for monitoring whether the transmission part outputs the optical signals under the transmission condition and controlling the transmission part not to output the optical signals when the transmission part does not fulfill the transmission condition. |
