PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a change of an air-fuel ratio around an ignition plug in a cycle before ignition of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A control device is applied to a spark ignition-type internal combustion engine having an ignition plug to each cylinder of the internal combustion engine. With the control device of the internal combustion engine, electric conduction to the ignition plug is done before ignition timing, and the length of a term before capacity discharge arises in the terms that a current flows through the ignition plug is detected as a term length. An air-fuel ratio in the cylinder is estimated depending on the detected term length. |
