PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for carrying a spherical tank to transfer and utilize the spherical tank having good usability and economy.SOLUTION: A method of carrying a spherical tank comprises: a step of providing a support frame 6 comprising a base frame 7, with the below of the lowermost point of a spherical tank 1 at its central position, placed on the ground 2 inside a support pillar 5, a frame support pillar 8 consisting of an inner side frame support piller and an outer side frame support piller erected, respectively, on the inner and outer peripheries of the base frame 7, and a receiving plate 9 coming in contact with the lower curve surface of the spherical shell body 4 of a spherical tank supported by the frame support piller 8; a step of supporting an outside bottom part of the spherical tank 1 with a jack attached to the support frame 6; a step of restricting the movement of the spherical tank 1 by means of a beam material which connects the support piller 5 with the support frame 6; and a step of causing one or more freely ascendable/descendable drive carriages to advance the carriages into a space between the support frame 6 supported by the jack and the ground 2, mounting the spherical tank 1 on the carriages, and carrying the carriages to the next installation site. |
