PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for accurately estimating a furnace heat evaluation index of a blast furnace.SOLUTION: A data development part 10a develops data on each variable of performance data stored in a performance data base 4, by tracing several steps back to the past so as to create a performance data set. A similarity calculation part 10b calculates the similarity to the operation conditions as estimation target on a plurality of operation conditions stored in the performance data set. An estimation formula creation part 10c creates an estimation model representing the relation between the operation conditions and the furnace heat evaluation index by using the information on the operation conditions stored in the performance data set, and determines parameters of the estimation model by solving an optimization problem with an evaluation function having the similarity calculated by the similarity calculation part 10b, as weights, as evaluation function to evaluate the estimation errors of the estimation model. A furnace heat estimation part 10d estimates the furnace heat evaluation index for the operation of a blast furnace under operation conditions as estimation targets by inputting the operation conditions as estimation targets in the estimation formula created by the estimation formula creation part 10c. |
