A vertical full rotary hook comprises: an outer hook which has a point portion (54) which captures an upper thread (T2) threaded through a sewing needle (43); an inner hook (47) housed so as to share an axial line (L1) with the outer hook; and a bobbin case (48) which is detachably mounted on the inner hook (47), and in which a bobbin (80), on which a lower thread (T1) is wound, is housed. On an end wall portion (85) of the bobbin case (48) are provided: a lower thread guide portion (100) on which is formed a notch (102) which is open facing the upstream side of the direction of rotation (A) of the outer hook, and a thread detachment prevention piece (105) which has a fixed portion (103) which is fixed to the outer surface of the end wall portion (85) and an abutting portion (104) which resiliently abuts the portion of the outer surface of the lower thread guide portion (100) where the notch (102) is opened. This vertical full rotary hook eliminates problems in which, at sewing, the upper thread (T2) becomes lodged on the lower thread guide portion (100) while being threaded thereover, thereby preventing occurrence of broken thread, a clew, or the like. |
