摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flowmeter that relates to a flowmeter of gas or the like and is compact and of low cost.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic flowmeter includes: a measurement flow path 2 with a rectangular cross section; a pair of ultrasonic wave sensor 5a, 5b provided on the same wall surface side of the measurement flow path 2 and arranged so as to constitute an ultrasonic wave propagation path utilizing reflection on the wall surface of an opposite side; two ultrasonic wave propagation opening windows 7a, 7b for inputting and outputting ultrasonic wave signals, provided on the wall surface of an installation side of the ultrasonic wave sensors 5a, 5b; and a flow rate arithmetic circuit 6 for detecting flow rate on the basis of a propagation time of ultrasonic wave due to transmission and reception of the ultrasonic wave sensors 5a, 5b. The ultrasonic wave propagation opening windows 7a, 7b become a contour shape that does not have a linear part perpendicular to a flow direction of a fluid in the measurement flow path 2.
