PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printing device that can prevent necessary information to be printed in a recording medium from being acquired out of an ink ribbon after printing, can suppress the displacement of a printing position, and can shorten a printing time.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer printing device which performs printing by transferring an ink coated on an ink ribbon to a recording medium 3 comprises a thermal head which is arranged so as to sandwich the ink ribbon between the recording medium 3 and itself. In the thermal transfer printing device, dummy information which is unnecessary to be printed on the recording medium 3 is printed by the thermal head on the recording medium 3 at the printing of necessary information 8 in addition to the necessary information 8 to be printed on the recording medium 3. |
