The present invention provides an electric refrigerator with a refrigeration cycle capable of effectively defrosting a cooler. A cooler (33) arranged in the electric refrigerator of the present invention has a plurality of radiating fins (52), refrigerant pipes (53) penetrating through the radiating fins (52) at two positions, a defrosting heater (51) arranged below the radiating fins (52), and a heater cover (54) arranged between the radiating fins (52) and the defrosting heater (51), wherein ends of the heater cover (54) are arranged below the refrigerant pipes (53). Hot air obtained by heating via the defrosting heater (51) hereby contacts the refrigerant pipes (53) through the ends of the heater cover (54), and thus defrosting can be effectively performed. Moreover, the lowermost radiating fins (52) are separated from the heater cover (54) so that air returned from a refrigerating chamber is effectively introduced there between when the cooler (33) performs cooling. |
