PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope strand rupture detection device and the like for elevators that can detect a strand rupture with a good accuracy in a manner requiring less burden.SOLUTION: A rope strand rupture detection device 21 for elevators is provided, the device comprising: a rope vibration detection part 23 disposed near a rope 5; a winch speed detection part 9 for detecting the motor rotational speed of a winch that drives the rope; a rope speed calculation part 25 for calculating the travel speed of the rope on the basis of a detection result from the winch speed detection part; a learning operation database part 27 that associates the detection result of the rope vibration detection part at the time of the learning operation with the travel speed of the rope that is the calculation result of the rope speed calculation part, then the learning operation database part recording and storing what is associated as a fundamental vibration data; and a strand rupture detection part 29 for detecting the presence/absence of a rope strand rupture by comparing, when a rupture is detected, the detection result of the rope vibration detection part with the fundamental vibration data, corresponding to the travel speed of the rope, from the learning operation database part. |
