The invention relates to a decorative cover (10) for a motor vehicle wheel (12), with an axis of rotation (34) and a hub hole or centre hole (36) which opens on a visible or outer side (18) of the wheel (12) and is coaxial with respect to the axis of rotation (34), with a cover element (50) which covers a predominant part of the visible or outer side (18) of the wheel (12), and with a fastening element (52) for fastening the cover element (50) to the wheel (12), and to a method for fixing such a decorative cover. According to the invention, the fastening element (52) is provided with latching means (62) for the releasable latching within the hub hole or centre hole (36) and with a thread (70) which is coaxial with respect to the axis of rotation (34) of the wheel (12), while the inner side of the cover element (50) opposite the visible or outer side (18) of the wheel (12) is provided with a thread (86) which is complementary to the thread (70) of the fastening element (52). |
