PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that is applicable to immuno-chromatography as a simple measurement system and immunologically and accurately measures HbA1c.SOLUTION: There is provided an immuno-chromatography method for HbA1c including processes (A), (B), (C), and (D) as follows: the process (A) of treating a measurement sample containing red blood cells with a surface active agent having a property of exposing an N-terminal of a hemoglobin &bgr; chain on a protein surface; the process (B) of bringing the measurement sample obtained in the process (A) into contact with cyclic polysaccharides in a water insoluble state; the process (C) of bringing the measurement sample obtained in the process (B) into contact with an antibody recognizing the N-terminal of hemoglobin labeled with particles or an antibody recognizing other than the N-terminal of the hemoglobin label with the particles; and the process (D) of detecting an immune complex of the antibody recognizing the N-terminal of hemoglobin labeled with particles and/or the antibody recognizing other than the N-terminal of the hemoglobin label with the particles, and the HbA1c. |
