Capsule 2 suitable for the preparation of a beverage, including an aluminium body 12 having a central axis 12A, a bottom 18, a side wall 16 and an outwardly extending flange 20. An aluminium cover 14 is attached to the flange and the flange further includes a sealing part 28. Further included is a bearing intended to receive an enclosing member 6 of a beverage preparation device. The bearing and sealing part may be functionally the same feature. The bearing initially lies at a first height above the cover, but upon the closing of the enclosing member, the bearing is lowered and partially folded around the free end of the enclosing member. After the lowering step, the bearing lies at a second height above the cover, which is less than the first height. The second height may be zero (relative to the cover).
