PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor that can fasten a terminal to a motor casing by simple means and reduce overall size of a motor while surely preventing the terminal from coming off.SOLUTION: The electric motor including a brush comprises: a terminal 71 to be inserted from the outside of a motor casing 1 via a through-hole 18 of a peripheral wall 12 into the inside of a brush holder 50; a pigtail 63 for conducting the terminal 71 to the brush; and a resin brush holder 50 fastened to the inside of the motor casing 1. In a location corresponding to the terminal 71 in a peripheral wall 52 of the brush holder 50 is formed a slit 56 that can receive the terminal 71 from one end in the axial direction. Out of gaps between the peripheral edge of the slit 56 of the brush holder 50 and terminal 71, a gap corresponding to the junction between the pigtail 63 and the terminal 71 is set to a size smaller than the wire diameter of the pigtail 63. |
