PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter in which deviations in ON/OFF timing of a semiconductor switch are corrected.SOLUTION: A single-phase inverter has: a single-phase full bridge composed of semiconductor switches 3-6; a bidirectional switch composed of semiconductor switches 7, 8; a potential fluctuation detector 118 which detects deviations in timing between on-operation and off-operation of two semiconductor switches to be turned on/off simultaneously; a correction signal generator 119 which simultaneously turns on or off two semiconductor switches 3,6 or 4,5, using a correction signal a generated on the basis of the deviations in the timing; and addition means 104, 105. The single-phase inverter controls each switch so that two semiconductor switches 3, 6 or 4, 5 may be turned on simultaneously when voltage between AC output terminal Uand Vin the single-phase full bridge is made to be a positive or a negative value, and the semiconductor switches 3, 6 or 4, 5 may be turned off simultaneously and the bidirectional switch may be turned on when the voltage is made to be zero. |
