PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device for an automatic transmission, which supplies an engaging pressure adjusted and output by a first solenoid valve, to a hydraulic servo of a first friction engaging element or a hydraulic servo of a second friction engaging element, selected by a selector valve, and which can reliably prevent the unintended formation of a reverse stage.SOLUTION: A hydraulic control device for an automatic transmission includes: a linear solenoid valve SL4 capable of adjusting and outputting an engaging pressure Por Pto be supplied to a hydraulic servo 56 or 55 of a fourth brake B-4 or a first brake B-1; a linear solenoid valve SLU for freely adjusting and outputting a control pressure P; and a B1-B4 apply control valve 35 for selecting a right half position for supplying the engaging pressure Pto the hydraulic servo 56 of the fourth brake B-4 or a left half position for supplying the engaging pressure Pto the hydraulic servo 55 of the first brake B-1, the B1-B4 apply control valve 35 having a lock oil chamber 35b for inputting a forward range pressure Pand locking the B1-B4 apply control valve 35 to the left half position. |
