摘要 A surgical robot drape is provided for enveloping a robotic arm that comprises a drive assembly for providing drive to an attached instrument, the drive assembly comprising an interface for coupling to a corresponding interface of the instrument. The drape 1017 comprises a covering 1025 for enveloping the robotic arm to define a sterile boundary; an interface element 1009 to couple the drive assembly interface and the instrument interface and provide drive to the instrument through the drape; and a guiding structure 1001 for locating the interface element relative to the drive assembly interface. The guiding structure may be deformable between a storage configuration and an operative configuration and may comprise a closed loop provided with articulations about which the guide may be folded, the articulations may lock together. Alternatively the guiding structure may be a hooped structure (see figure 14).
