A golf club head 100 comprises: a plurality of weight portions 120, 130 and a body 180; the body 180 includes face, toe 140, top 180, sole 190 and back (170, fig 9) portions and an interior cavity (700, fig 9) extending between the top 180 and sole 190; the back portion (170) includes a plurality of weight ports (1420, 1430, fig 14) that receive weight portions120, 130; the ports (1420, 1430) are arranged in a first set (1420) located at the top 180 or toe 140 portion and a second set (1430) located at the sole 130 or toe 140 portion; the exterior weight ports are separated by a distance less than a port diameter and more than 50% of the total weight portion is located below a horizontal midplane 1020 of the club head 100. The club head 100 is preferably an iron type club head and the interior cavity (700) is preferably at least partially filled with elastic polymer material. An iron type golf club including an at least partial filled interior cavity and first and second weight portions wherein the second set of weight portions have higher mass than the first set and the second set are located below a horizontal midplane of the club head is also disclosed. |
