PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength heat resistant aluminum alloy capable of preventing reduction of fracture toughness and high temperature strength while raising the level of the solidus line temperature of an aluminum alloy and maintaining enhancement of fatigue strength by adding manganese in a reasonable amount even when an iron component is contaminated by using a return material such as a piston for the alloy.SOLUTION: An aluminum alloy has a constitution containing, by mass%, Si:10.5 to 13%, Ni:1.5% to 3%, Cu:2 to 5.5%, Mg:0.1 to 0.6%, P:0.002 to 0.02%, Ti:0.05 to 0.3%, Zr:0.05 to 0.2%, V:0.05 to 0.2%, Fe:0 to 0.8%, Mn:0 to 0.1% and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. |
