PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device for a vehicle excelling in controllability.SOLUTION: A drive device for a vehicle is configured to perform control such that ring-free limit torque, being limit torque of first and second motors 2A and 2B after switching from a ring-locking state to a ring-free state, is set to a value larger in an absolute value than upper-limit torque or ring-locking limit torque of the first and second motors 2A and 2B in the ring-locking state at the time of switching or, is set to a value nearly equal to the upper-limit torque or the ring-locking limit torque of the first and second motors 2A and 2B in the ring-locking state at the time of switching, and torque generated by the first and second motors 2A and 2B is set smaller than the ring-free limit torque. |
