PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inorganic thin film-forming base polyester film for solar batteries, which is suitable for a solar battery module member suitable for keeping a moisture resistance over a long period of time.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an inorganic thin film-forming base polyester film for solar batteries, in which the polyester film has a coating layer on at least one surface thereof, the cyclic trimer content in the polyester film is 5000 ppm or less, and the film-surface cyclic trimer amount in at least one surface of the polyester film is 50 μg/mor less, comprises the steps of: obtaining a non-oriented sheet by melt extrusion of the polyester; laterally extending the sheet by temperature-controlled hot air with a wind velocity of 10 m/sec or more; and fixing by heat. |
