The lock (1) has a bolt (9) pivotally moved between locked and unlocked positions, and a ratchet pivotally moved between a bolt retaining position and a bolt releasing position. A slider block (15) is provided with a guide cam. The ratchet carries an opening pin cooperating with the cam so as to cause release of the bolt by the ratchet during an unlocking movement. The cam is inclined with respect to a sliding plane of the slider block. A single motor (5) actuates unlocking and locking movements of the bolt. An elastic return unit i.e. spring (37), returns the slider block to a rest position.
