PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjustment device that can specify a direction of a focal position without performing wobbling.SOLUTION: A focus detection device comprises: an imaging element including a first pixel that has a first microlens and photoelectrically converts light made incident through an imaging optical system having a focus adjustment optical system to output a signal, and a second pixel that has a second microlens having different optical characteristics from that of the first microlens and photoelectrically converts light made incident through an imaging optical system to output a signal; and a focus detection part that detects a direction to the position of the focus adjustment optical system that forms the incident light into an image on the imaging element from the signal output from the first pixel and the signal output from the second pixel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
