PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which optimizes a load required for tearing a printing medium cut with a portion left regardless of the size of the printing medium.SOLUTION: A printer comprises a printing head, a positioning part, a pedestal 180 and a cutting blade 275. The printing head executes printing on a large-diameter tube 9A. The positioning part decides the vertical direction position of the lower end of the printed large-diameter tube 9A to the reference position P. The pedestal 180 has a first contact surface 181 extending in the vertical direction. The cutting blade 275 cuts the large-diameter tube 9A by holding it between the first contact surface 181 and itself. A portion including the reference position P in the vertical direction of the first contact surface 181 is provided with a retreat groove 187. A portion of the large-diameter tube 9A cut by the cutting blade 275 enters the retreat groove 187 for retreat. A third surface 187C forming the groove bottom of the retreat groove 187 includes a portion extending toward the first contact surface 181 side as separating upward from the reference position P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
