PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical modulator module for suppressing strain by internal stress from a casing to an optical modulation element and suppressing manufacturing costs, and further to provide an optical modulator module capable of easily disposing and fixing both of an optical modulation element and a relay board or the like by accurately controlling an area between them.SOLUTION: An optical modulator module includes: an optical modulation element 1 including an optical waveguide on a board having an electrooptical effect and a control electrode for performing modulation control of light waves propagated through the optical waveguide; and a casing 5 for storing the optical modulation element inside. In the optical modulator module, projections (54, broken lines a1-a3) projecting toward the optical modulation element 1 are formed periodically at least at one portion on the inner surface of the casing 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
