PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crew member protection device capable of preventing the head of a crew member from contacting components constituting a crew cabin when a vehicle is given an impact from behind.SOLUTION: A crew member protection device 1 is provided. The crew member protection device 1 can protect a crew member C seated in a seat 110 when an impact acts on a vehicle, and includes: a belt member 2 laid over a shoulder 119 of a backrest 112 of the seat 110; and a retractor 3 provided in a back face part of the backrest 112, holding one end side of the belt member 2, capable of pulling the belt member 2. The backrest 112 has a concavity 41 where a contact part 120 contacting the belt member 2 at the shoulder 119, when the belt member 2 is pulled, is capable of being deformed downward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
