PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power drive circuit capable of preventing the occurrence of a rush current and preventing a failure such as a fuse blow-out of an instrument, and to provide electrical equipment having the same.SOLUTION: A power drive circuit 1 of the present invention includes: an AC circuit section 10 connected to an AC power supply 2, converting AC power from the AC power supply 2 into a DC power, and outputting the DC power to a DC load 4; and a DC circuit section 20 connected to a DC power supply 3 and supplying DC power from the DC power supply 3 to the DC load 4. The AC circuit section 10 includes a rectifier circuit 11 converting the AC power from the AC power supply 2 into DC power, and a smoothing capacitor 12 connected to the rectifier circuit 11 and smoothing the voltage of the DC power converted by the rectifier circuit 11. The DC circuit section 20 includes a current suppression circuit suppressing a current supplied to the smoothing capacitor 12 when the DC power supply 3 is connected and the DC power is supplied to the DC load 4. |
