PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrier mechanism for lens barrels to which a barrier pressing spring that presses with a powerful force can be readily fitted.SOLUTION: A barrier pressing spring 85 is provided with a coil unit 86 rotatably supported by a spring supporting shaft 69 disposed in a barrier supporting member 66, a first engaging unit 87 that extends from one end of the coil unit and engages with a barrier vane 73, and a second engaging unit 88 that extends from the other end of the coil unit and slidably engages with a spring controlling cam face. The barrier pressing spring is further provided with an assembly area 83a in which the second engaging unit engages with the spring controlling cam face when a barrier driving member is at an assembling position and open/closed areas 83b and 83c with which the second engaging unit slidably engages when the barrier driving member turns between a rotation-permitted position side and a forcibly opened position side. The shape of the spring controlling cam face is so set that the pressing force in the closing direction is smaller when the second engaging unit engages with the assembly area than when the second engaging unit engages with the open/closed areas. |
