PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured double hung window capable of preventing gap generation in an area adjacent to a stile and an upper portion of a vertical frame due to a warp of the stile of an upper outer sash even when being subjected to a fire.SOLUTION: A double hung window 100 has a sash frame 1 as a frame body; an upper outer sash 2; and a lower inner sash 3. In an upper portion of vertical frames 13 and 14 of the sash frame 1 as the frame body and in an upper portion of the stiles 23 and 24 of the upper outer sash 2, one has a warp prevention fitting 702, and the other has a receiving bracket 701. The receiving bracket 701 has a notch 701u which opens in a traveling direction of the sash. The warp prevention fitting 702 has an engaging piece 702p protruding toward the other side of the vertical frames 13 and 14 or stiles 23, 24. When the upper outer sash 2 is positioned at the close position, the engaging piece 702p of the warp prevention fitting 702 is inserted into the notch 701u of the receiving bracket 701 and the warp prevention fitting 702 and the receiving bracket 701 are arranged to engage with each other in a depth direction. |
