PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an electrode used for generating sterilized water by electrolyzing city water or diluted salt water, by which labor of correcting warpage can be saved, further, the labor and cost of checking the total number of the warpage of produced electrodes are saved, and their mass production is easily made possible at a low cost, and the electrode.SOLUTION: In the electrode 1 for electrolysis, a catalyst layer 25 is formed on one side of an electrode substrate 23 made of titanium or a titanium alloy, and further, a harness 31 for power supply is fitted to a power supply side face on the side opposite to a catalyst layer forming face. In the power supply side face, only the whole part to be fitted with the power supply member and the vicinity of its circumference are polished. By avoiding the whole face polishing of the power supply side face and partial polishing only a partial region including a power supply member fitting part, the ratio of the polished area occupied in th power supply side face is reduced, and the warpage of a plate material producible in a polishing step can be suppressed to a standard or lower. |
