PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an illumination system which can perform brightness control and can be installed easily and with a low cost.SOLUTION: A master apparatus 10 comprises: a power factor improvement circuit 4 for improving a power factor of AC power and converting the AC power to DC power; current limit circuits 5-1 to 5-4 which connect with the power factor improvement circuit 4 and can change a volume of the DC power and output the DC power; an LED group 6-1 which connects with the current limit circuit 5-1 and performs illumination; and a control unit 3 for individually controlling volumes of the DC current output by the current limit circuits 5-1 to 5-4 on the basis of information on illuminance below the master apparatus 10 and below slave apparatuses 11-1 to 11-3 detected by an illuminance sensor 12, and information on existence of a person below the master apparatus 10 and below the slave apparatuses 11-1 to 11-3 detected by a human sensor 13. The slave apparatuses 11-1 to 11-3 comprise light source LED groups 6-2 to 6-4 which connect with the current limit circuits 5-2 to 5-4 and perform illumination. |
