PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine and a nozzle center coincidence determination method which can determine whether or not a nozzle center coincides with a molten metal port of a mold based on information obtained from nozzle touch drive means, without using a jig.SOLUTION: When nozzle touch drive means is moving an injection unit to a mold direction, an injection molding machine M which comprises the nozzle touch drive means, its load detection device and an injection unit detects that the injection units contacts to a mold by determining that the load of the nozzle touch drive means (servomotor 17 for moving the nozzle in a back and forth direction) exceeds a first threshold value, detects that advancing of the injection units 19 is stopped by determining that the load of the nozzle touch drive means (servomotor 17 for moving the nozzle in the back and forth direction) exceeds a second threshold value, and can determine whether or not the nozzle center coincides with a molten metal port 10 of the mold, based on whether or not the motor load increasing rate of this interval is equal to a specified increasing rate or more. |
