One aspect of this electric machine tool is provided with a motor, an operation switch, a battery mounting part, and a motor actuator. The motor actuator is provided with an operating state detection unit, a permission determination unit, and an operation control unit. The permission determination unit determines whether or not a permission condition, which permits the motor to operate, has been met, on the basis of an operating switch operating state detected by the operating state detection unit, and on the total number of battery packs mounted to the battery mounting part. The operation control unit performs a permission operation permitting the motor to operate when the permission determination unit determines that the permission condition has been met, and performs a prevention operation preventing the motor from operating when the permission determination unit determines that the permission condition has not been met. |
