PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum forming apparatus for an interior component in which a surface of a base material is covered with a skin material by moving forward and backward a slide member into an undercut portion of the base material, that can reduce a skin loss and that can stably hold and release the skin material.SOLUTION: A vacuum forming apparatus 10 for an interior component NB in which a surface of an undercut portion is covered with a skin material, comprises: a lower mold 1 for placing a base material KZ having an undercut portion KZu; an upper mold 2 for vacuum-sucking and shaping a skin material HZ, while pressing the skin material HZ onto the surface of the base material; a slide member 3 which is slidably supported on the bottom end of the upper mold and is moved forward and backward into/from the undercut portion; and a skin material chucking device 5 for holding and releasing the skin material. A notched portion 31 recessed forward is formed in the rear end of the slide member, and in a state where the slide member slides toward the undercut portion to form the skin material, a skin material chucking device stands by at a position at least separated rearward from the notched portion by a moving distance M of the slide member. |
