PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy absorption structure which can lower a position for absorbing impact energy while also easily achieving designability without adding a complicated mechanism.SOLUTION: In an energy absorption structure 1, when a load F from a vehicle front side at a collision is applied on a lower absorber 20 through a front bumper cover 10, the load F is input to a front end part 22. Thereby, the front end part 22 moves to a vehicle rear side. Then, a rear end surface 22a of the front end part 22 abuts on a front end surface 24a of an intermediate part 24 facing through a slant slit 23. The front end surface 24a of the intermediate part 24 moves downward while sliding on the rear end surface 22a of the front end part 22, and displaces so as to rotate downward with respect to the rear end part 26 as the whole intermediate part 24. When the intermediate part 24 displaces, the intermediate part 24 is positioned so as to protrude downward from the front bumper cover 10 on a lower side from the front end part 22. |
