摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect an attachment state of deposit without forcibly changing a control parameter of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An ECU 50 calculates a maximum drift amount &Dgr;P1 as a maximum value of an output drift amount of a cylinder internal pressure sensor 44 and a reference drift amount &Dgr;Pα when a transient operation including starting of fuel cut or returning from fuel cut, is executed. When a drift amount reduction rate (&Dgr;Pα-&Dgr;P1) as the difference between both amounts, is more than a first determination value, the attachment of deposit into the cylinder is determined. Thus the attachment of deposit can be detected without forcibly changing a control parameter of a fuel injection time, an ignition time and the like. Accordingly, an operability of an engine and fuel consumption can be properly kept while executing proper corresponding control according to an attachment state of deposit.
