PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane emission laser unit capable of quickly estimating deterioration of a plane emission laser.SOLUTION: A plane emission laser unit includes: a plane emission laser; a light reception element which receives part of laser light emitted by the plane emission laser; and a package part and a cap part which cover the plane emission laser and light reception element. The cap part is provided with a transparent member which transmits the laser light emitted by the plane emission laser, and part of the lasers light emitted by the plane emission laser is reflected by the transparent member to impinge on the light reception element. The light reception element is divided into a plurality of light reception regions, and a beam profile of a far-field pattern of the plane emission laser is detected based upon quantities of light detected in the respective light reception regions of the light reception element. |
